2010 Farmer's Market - Creek Farm Plaza, Colchester, VT

Welcome everyone! Well, here we are - our first year of the Colchester Farmer's Market! This page will hopefully answer all of your questions and provide you a place for your feedback. See the Suggestion Box below. If you are interested in being a vendor, you will also find the application and any other documents you'll need for the market. If there's something you need that you don't see, just let me know.

For those of you who weren't with us at our Harvest Moon Fair last fall, we had an excellent day. There were smiles all around from both vendors and shoppers. We had a lot of positive feedback from a very enthusiastic community, and I believe all of the vendors had a good day. So we hope to keep that momentum going into the spring.

We will also post any photos and scheduled special activities (e.g. music, unique events, etc.) on this page, so come back and see us often.

Dates & Rates:

We will have the market every Sunday from May 30th (Memorial Day weekend) through October 10th, 2010. The market will run from 10:30-2:30. Vendors who pay for the full season will receive assigned spots valid through the season. Spaces will be assigned on a "first come, first served" basis. Vendors will be expected to be there by 10am. We want to avoid "holes" in the market, so if you are not there by 10am, you may lose your space for the day (you will be placed somewhere else in the market). Day vendors will be filled into empty spaces. There is plenty of space in the field, so we will have lots of room.

NEWS!!!

Please Note: July 4th falls on a Sunday this year. Colchester stages their parade in the field we are using for the market. I have gotten good news on this front. We will be able to incorporate the market that day into the 4th of July festivities. We will can set up around 3:30 after the parade clears out and run the market until around 6:30 that evening. The town of Colchester will be including the market in the promotional materials as part of the day's events I think it is a potentially very busy day for the market and I hope you can all still join us for the later time that day. Weekly Flier

I will be posting a flier at the entrance to the market each week. This will show notes of interest for that week. For example, if you are having any specials or sales, or perhaps you want to demonstrate something about your product or give out free samples, etc. So if you want to highlight anything about your booth in a given week, just send me a note a by the Friday before the market and I will include it.

Season (May 30th-Oct. 10th): $150
Per Day: $15

Advertising

The market will be advertised in Seven Days, and we are getting a lot of PR from the Colchester Sun. All articles, photos, etc. will be posted here. I will also have signs & posters posted all over town prior to our first day. You will also find fliers here that can be downloaded for your own use.
